the premise

sophie is moving tomorrow. new school, new house, new everything -- and she wants none of it.

so she makes a deal with the sun. a game of hide and seek. if she can hide long enough, maybe tomorrow will just... forget to show up. she finds the perfect spot in her backyard, tucks herself in, and waits.

it works.

if she hides long enough, maybe tomorrow forgets to show up

the bugs

while sophie has been hiding, something else has been growing. a whole civilization of bugs has taken root in the grass around her -- tunnels, towers, tiny lives going about their tiny business. and just like sophie, they're afraid of the sun. they've built their whole world around avoiding it.

sophie wanders into that world. she learns their fears, their stories, the way they've made something beautiful in the shade. and somewhere in all of it, she starts to wonder if maybe she can too.

what it's really about

a story about being afraid of what comes next -- and learning that saying goodbye doesn't have to mean losing everything.

"saying goodbye doesn't have to mean losing everything"
